Elena Pinderhughes released her first full-length album, i hope you feel it too, this month. The record marks a major professional step for the flutist, who recorded a debut with her brother, pianist Samora Pinderhughes, when she was nine years old. Her older sibling was not yet 13 at the time. The siblings have since maintained a long history of high-profile collaborations.

Pinderhughes has established a reputation through work with Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah and special appearances with Childish Gambino and Yebba. She also performed in a special Tiny Desk Concert at the White House alongside Common and Robert Glasper. Her new project blends contemporary jazz with R&B elements. Chief Adjuah and saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins contributed to the recording, but Pinderhughes serves as the central focus of the sound.

She will perform the new material during her album release tour. The concert is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the City Winery. The venue is located at 990 Filbert Street. Ticket prices range from $24 to $60.

The City Winery hosts another performance on Thursday at 6 p.m. Singer-songwriter Ami Taf Ra will perform with tenor saxophonist Kamasi Washington. Taf Ra is of North African heritage, and her debut album The Prophet & The Madman incorporates Moroccan Gnawa music. The record was produced by Washington and released on the Brainfeeder label. It draws inspiration from the philosophical works of Kahlil Gibran. Tickets for this event cost between $66 and $86.

A hard-bop group called The All Star Septet With Conrad Herwig + Victor North will play two nights at Chris' Jazz Cafe. The ensemble features trombonist Conrad Herwig alongside saxophonists Victor North, Brandon Suarez, and Daniel Cohen. Pianist Brandon Goldberg anchors the rhythm section. The group will perform on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The venue is at 1421 Sansom Street. Admission is $30 to $35, with dinner packages available.

Panamanian drummer Daniel Villarreal will lead a group at Solar Myth on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Villarreal lives in Philadelphia after working in Chicago. His band includes Nathan Karagianis on guitar, Cole DeGenova on keys, John Sutton on bass, and Danjuma Gaskin on percussion. A special guest joins each night. Charlie Hall, drummer for The War On Drugs, plays on Friday. DM Hotep, a guitarist in the Sun Ra Arkestra, performs on Saturday. Tickets are $30. The venue is located at 1131 South Broad Street.

Keyboardist Miki Yamanaka will perform a trio set at the Barnes Foundation on Friday at 6 p.m. She will be joined by bassist Tyrone Allen II and drummer Jimmy Macbride. The concert coincides with her new album Breathe, which includes a track dedicated to James Williams. The event is presented with the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival. It aligns with the current exhibition Noguchi to Asawa: Designing Postwar America. The address is 2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and tickets are $35.
