Caleta de Fuste recorded 430,663 tourist arrivals in 2024, placing it last among the 15 Canary Islands resorts assessed by Which? readers. The next least-visited site, Costa Teguise, recorded 627,780 arrivals. The busiest locations, Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas, Meloneras and Costa Adeje, each exceeded two million visitors.

Jet2 operates direct flights from Bristol Airport to Fuerteventura year-round, with tickets listed from £31. The resort sits roughly a ten-minute drive from Puerto del Rosario, the island's capital. Fuerteventura reports sunrises around 7:30 a.m. and sunsets around 6 p.m. in December, with temperatures reaching the low twenties.

Caleta de Fuste is located on Fuerteventura's central eastern coast. It provides a sheltered golden-sand cove with gentle waters and south-facing exposure. The resort is positioned between Corralejo and El Cotillo to the north, and Costa Calma and Jandía to the south.

Hotel Plan reports that the bay features fine, light-colored sand and small pebbles at water level, noting that strong waves are rare. World Travel Guide describes the location as a man-made, low-rise resort designed for families. Some guides have described the resort as feeling manufactured, a criticism also directed at Playa de las Américas.

Local facilities include shopping centres, golf courses, snorkelling, diving and windsurfing. The area contains an 18th-century castle by the marina, a salt museum and neighboring working salt flats. From the airport, Caleta de Fuste is ten minutes away by car.

The resort is not suitable for all travelers, as it is a purpose-built destination. Its position offers a smaller, quieter alternative to larger hotels and nightlife found in Playa del Inglés and Playa de las Américas. Direct Jet2 flights from Bristol Airport to Fuerteventura are available throughout the year.
