Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have released a $50 limited-edition makeup bundle that recreates scenes from their 2009 Disney Channel film. The set, titled the “Delena” Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Bundle, is the first commercial product to pair the two former co-stars since their public reunion earlier this year.
The bundle contains two shades of Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. Gomez selected Hope, a nude mauve, while Lovato chose Virtue, a beige peach. The $50 price tag covers the two blushes and a Soft Pinch Blush Brush. The set is available exclusively on Rare Beauty’s website. Other products shown in the campaign are sold separately at retailers including Ulta and Sephora.
The marketing materials for the campaign, titled “Still Making Each Other Blush,” directly reference the pair’s history on Disney Channel. In one photograph, Gomez and Lovato wear updated versions of the blue and yellow gowns worn by their characters, Carter Mason and Princess Rosalinda, in Princess Protection Program. A video posted to Gomez’s YouTube channel has the two answering questions and lip-syncing to their 2009 duet, “One and the Same.” The clip also revisits their 2008 YouTube series, The Demi and Selena Show.
The collaboration marks a commercial extension of a friendship that began on Barney & Friends. Gomez starred in Wizards of Waverly Place while Lovato appeared in Camp Rock. The two have previously discussed periods of distance in their relationship. Their recent public appearance together occurred in April, when Gomez attended the opening night of Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep tour in Orlando, Fla.
Lovato described the campaign as a full-circle moment in a statement. She noted that she has used the brand’s liquid blush since its launch. “Being on set together felt like we were back in our old bedrooms making YouTube videos and playing with makeup,” Lovato said.
Gomez called their shared history unique in a separate statement. She said the campaign provided a chance to celebrate who they are today. “One and the same… always,” Gomez added.
Rare Beauty launched in 2020. The Soft Pinch Liquid Blush is one of the brand’s signature products. This new set pairs two existing shades rather than introducing a new formula. The limited-edition bundle is part of a broader effort to capitalize on nostalgia surrounding the early 2000s Disney Channel era.
