Shoppers at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart can buy Soundcore Space 2 noise-canceling headphones for $106.49 as of October 23. This price represents a $23 reduction from the standard list price. The discount applies to all three available color options for the device.
The price cut brings the Space 2 closer in cost to its predecessor, the Space One. The original model launched in 2023 with a lower starting price. The Space 2 currently carries a list price that is $30 higher than the Space One at release. The current sale removes part of that price difference for buyers.
The newer model offers stronger active noise cancellation than the first version. The headphones better suppress low-frequency sounds, such as those from train engines and airplane motors. Soundcore also adjusted the design to provide more accurate sound output compared to the original Space One.
The device retains features that contributed to the popularity of the earlier model. It supports high-resolution LDAC audio. It also uses the HearID 3.0 tool. This feature personalizes sound by analyzing a user's response to a series of audio samples and adjusting the output accordingly.
Battery life has increased with the new model. With noise cancellation enabled, the Space 2 runs for up to 50 hours. The previous model offered 40 hours under the same settings. With noise cancellation off, the new headphones run for up to 70 hours. The original model lasted 55 hours in that mode.
The headphones include a 3.5mm jack for wired listening if the battery fails. They also feature an automatic pause function. Playback stops when the user removes the headphones and resumes at the same spot when they are put back on. The Verge cites the improved noise cancellation and sound quality as reasons for recommending the Space 2.
